10 Things You Can Do About the Shutdown
1️⃣ Be loud on social. Every voice that raises and says, "This is not OK and must be stopped!" gives permission for another to raise their voice for the very first time. Post often. Be annoying. The nation's on fire. >> Get prepackaged 'Stop The Trump Shutdown' posts and graphics
2️⃣ Watch the replay of the mass mobilization call. Hosted by Fair Share America, Indivisible, MoveOn, Public Citizen, and Working Families Power, this call from 10.01 addresses how we can collectively support and protect our communities in this federal budget showdown. >> Healthcare Not Authoritarianism Mass Call: Shutdown Showdown
3️⃣ Call Sens. Kelly and Gallego. They fought for healthcare and put checks on Trump’s lawless abuse of our taxpayer dollars. We need to remind them we’re with them – and urge them to keep on fighting. >> Tell AZ Senators Kelly and Gallego to hold the line
4️⃣ Forward this link. For family and friends who have the misfortune of being represented by a Republican 🤮 (or Fetterman, King or Cortez Masto 🤮🤮🤮), send them the script below. >> Demand Republican senators protect healthcare and end the shutdown
5️⃣ Bookmark this Indivisible toolkit. Get the latest shutdown news, calls to action, and more. >> Stop the Trump shutdown toolkit
6️⃣ Attend a No Kings Protest on 10.18. Our numbers simply MUST keep growing. >> Find a No Kings protest near you
7️⃣ Go to Indivisible’s Take Action Now page. It's updated often with national calls to action and policy explainers. >> Indivisible’s Take Action Now page
8️⃣ Check out the "Healthcare Not Authoritarianism" events and protests. Mobilize lists dozens of rallies and CTAs happening across Arizona and beyond. >> Healthcare Not Authoritarianism
9️⃣ Share this with federal employees. The Partnership for Public Service put together a list of resources. >> Resources for federal employees
🔟 Take care of one another. The most radical thing we can do in a broken world is love each other. Thank you for your attention to this matter! 🩷🩷🩷
Do not be quiet in this moment. Democracy is being taken away.

Have you noticed? The eyes of the right-wing working class are opening.
Trump signs and American flags are quietly disappearing from front yards and car bumpers.
Right-wing podcasters and corporate mouthpieces are openly questioning White House dogma.
The press secretary is losing her composure as reporters get more brave and direct in their questioning.
A mass movement in defense of Jimmy Kimmel brought first Disney, then Sinclair to heel in a matter of days.
The conditions that gave rise to MAGA are still largely present; in fact, they've been made worse. But what's different is that the lies of the fascist worldview are fully exposed. The eyes of the right-wing working class are opening, and what is seen cannot be unseen.
When the true horror of what they've done sinks in, I hope we can prepare ourselves to offer our solutions earnestly. Now is the time to do inner work around our resentments so our voices can be full of welcome. For soon will come the time when people are choosing between liberals and progressives in the primary, and Republicans and Democrats in the midterms.
How bad do you want a progressive majority Congress? That’s how ready we have to be to do the outreach and educational work to receive our fellow workers into the fold. Together, through our courage and our hope and our commitment to a better world, we can harvest the change we need from this moment. And when we see that we can do that, we will know that we can do anything.
Not just in theory, but in practice. And that is exciting enough to keep fighting for.
Protect Union Jobs - Keep Call Centers in the U.S.
🙋🏾♂️ 🙋♀️ Raise your hand if you hate getting routed overseas or stuck with a robot when all you want is real customer service.
The Keep Call Centers in America Act (S.2495 / H.R. 4954) is a bipartisan bill to protect consumers and American jobs. It would ensure that when you call for help:
You have the right to speak with someone in the U.S.
You’re not trapped in a loop of bots or overseas agents who don’t understand your issue
Companies that off-shore service jobs won’t be rewarded with U.S. taxpayer dollars
📞 Call 202-933-5399 to be connected to your member of Congress. Tell them: “I’m a consumer in your district, and I want you to co-sponsor the bipartisan Keep Call Centers in America Act (S.2495 / H.R. 4954). Don’t let companies replace us with AI or ship our calls overseas. We deserve real help from real people — here at home.”
