When the fireworks are bursting tonight, remember what they represent — we keep fighting, no matter how dark it gets.
They may have the power to commit shocking crimes against the people for now, but they do not have the power to turn dark into light. History will reveal them for what they were, and how long they get to cosplay depends on how well we maintain our resilience.
This too shall pass. We fight back.

The success of an authoritarian takeover is dependent upon a population choosing to comply. It only takes a (relatively) small number of people practicing non-cooperation to make implementation of their fascist ideals impossible.
