🔥 Show ICE What We Got 🔥

☀️ The Resistance Network of Arizona

We are not the only ones fighting to see a day when ICE is only a puddle of water, evaporating in our Arizona heat. Students across the state have been taking to the streets, and here is what you can do to help the youth in their fight to be able to grow up in a country where they can be normal teenagers instead of fighting gun violence and masked agents.

✴️A reminder: Resistance in all forms is needed in times like these. Calling representatives, building community, or letting your voice be heard at a protest are all important. Pick at least one action step below, and let's keep Arizona too hot for ICE. ❤️‍🔥

Representatives to Call

  • Check out 5Calls.org: This site and phone app allows you to call your local reps with ready-made scripts. Pro Tip - Nervous to talk to someone? Call on weekends or after hours to leave a voicemail. Your message is still recorded!

  • Jake Hoffman: In District 15? Want to call out one of Trump's fake electors who somehow weasled his way into office? Jake Hoffman has sponsored bills to ban books and recognize the “legitimacy” of Judea and Samaria (lands referred to in the bible that continue to deny Palestinian reality). He is up for re-election this year. Capitol number: 602-926-3292

  • Kevin Sartor: Kevin is the mayor of Surprise, where a new ICE Detention Center is set to be built. Call and demand that the city refuse any cooperation with ICE. Number: 623-222-1313

  • The Arizona Grand: Not a representative, but a local hotel that has been hosting ICE (and Kristi Noam herself). They are officially on the boycott list; do not book or recommend. To apply public pressure, call: 877-504-6584

  • Stand with Resistance Network of Arizona: Your donations help fund our grassroots coalition in community outreach, mutual aid, and direct action.

Quote of the week:

“ Peacemaking doesn’t mean passivity. It is the act of interrupting injustice without mirroring injustice, the act of disarming evil without destroying the evildoer, the act of finding a third way, this is neither fight nor flight but the careful, arduous pursuit of reconciliation and justice.” - Shane Claiborne
